LAKE WEISS LEVEL IS DOWN 2.17 FT, STAINED & 51 DEGREES
Bass fishing is great and some good largemouth are being caught in really shallow water any anywhere from 1 to 4 feet in the backs of the in the creeks in the upper lake. The water in the mouth of the creeks is stained, as you go deeper in however, the water clears and there lie the fish. They have gathered in the clear water and hanging off of submerged tree tops and hanging at confluences of submerged creek channels. Shallow running crank baits and jigs are catching these fish. Secondary points and shallow brush in the bays of the main lake are producing some good bass on Rat L Traps and shallow running crank baits like the new Gizz3 and Gizz4. The Spotted bass are active and they are showing up on gravel or rocky secondary points. Rat L Traps, crank baits and spinner baits are catching these pre spawn fish.
